MP3
Download
An MP3
file is a digital recording, compressed and saved in a format read by special
devices like computers, MP3 players and MP3 Decoders.
After you purchase an MP3 file, Sound Images will permit you to download
a copy of the file from our website over a high speed internet connection. Most
customers will then either listen to the downloaded session on their computer
or move the file to a portable MP3 device such as an ipod or Jukebox.

SI
Attend vs. Webcast, Podcast, and streaming
SI Attend’s download
mechanism differs from webcasts in one vastly important way: after
the customer purchases and downloads the session, he/she OWNS IT.
The customer need not maintain an internet connection to hear it (as
with webcasting or streaming), and they can move the file to an mp3
device like an ipod. Also, should the customer prefer a CD, he/she
can burn their own from the downloaded file!
This format also differs
from podcasts in one significant way – the purchase of the file is a
one time deal. There are no hidden fees or subscriptions to buy.
Customers can buy as many or as few sessions as they choose, and the
entire inventory is open to them. With podcasting, the subscription
supplier chooses which sessions will be “aired” and the subscribing
customer has little say in the matter.
